TevraMed leads in medical technology: Exploring the new trends of intelligent medical devices in 2026
Beijing TevraMed Technology Co., Ltd., as an innovative pioneer in China's intelligent medical devices sector, is accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and high-precision sensing technologies into clinical diagnostic equipment. Recently, the company officially released the 'Intelligent Connection · Surgical World' technical roadmap at the 2024 China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), comprehensively outlining its blueprint for the development of intelligent medical devices by 2026, covering three core directions: remote intraoperative navigation systems, AI-driven portable ultrasound diagnostic terminals, and wearable chronic disease dynamic monitoring platforms.
According to Dr. Li Zhe, the company's chief technology officer, TevraMed's independently developed "NeuroLink-300" real-time neural intervention navigation system was approved by the National Medical Products Administration's innovative medical device special review process in the third quarter of 2024 and has initiated multi-center clinical validation. This system integrates millimeter-level optical positioning, 5G low-latency edge computing, and preoperative image three-dimensional reconstruction algorithms, which can reduce the planning time for cerebral vascular intervention surgeries by 60% and control intraoperative errors within 0.3mm, significantly enhancing the safety and repeatability of minimally invasive surgeries. Currently, this system has been applied prospectively in 12 tertiary hospitals, including Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University and Shanghai Changhai Hospital.
In terms of empowering primary medical care, TevraMed's newly launched 'EchoGo Lite' handheld AI ultrasound device has obtained the Class II medical device registration certificate from the NMPA. The device is equipped with an independently developed lightweight AI ultrasound engine, capable of automatically scanning and identifying 7 common body parts such as the thyroid, breast, and abdomen, and generating structured reports. The operational threshold has been significantly reduced, facilitating rapid screening with 'one machine, one person, one diagnosis' in county-level hospitals and community health centers. By the end of 2024, this device has been deployed in over 2,300 units in 18 provinces including Hebei, Yunnan, and Gansu.
It is worth noting that TevraMed has simultaneously constructed a full-stack security architecture that complies with the "Guidelines for the Review of Medical Device Cybersecurity". All intelligent terminals have passed ISO/IEC 27001 certification and have undergone level 3 security protection assessment, and have been connected to the national remote medical and internet medical center data supervision platform. This ensures that patients' health data are 'processed locally, encrypted for upload, and with controllable ownership'. The company has also jointly established the 'Intelligent Diagnostic Equipment Joint Laboratory' with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tsinghua University, focusing on the research of multimodal physiological signal fusion modeling and trusted AI clinical decision-making mechanisms, laying a solid foundation for the approval of a type 3 AI-assisted diagnostic software in 2026.
As a national high-tech enterprise and a 'specialized, refined, unique, and innovative' small and medium-sized enterprise in Zhongguancun, TevraMed has continuously increased its research and development investment. In 2024, the proportion of R&D expenses to revenue reached 38.6%. In the next two years, the company will focus on expanding its markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. It has completed pre-approval and filing with the Saudi SFDA and the UAE MOHAP. The first export version of the intelligent electrocardiogram monitoring terminal is expected to be mass-produced and delivered in the second quarter of 2025. TevraMed's mission is to "make precise medical care accessible to everyone", and it is steadily becoming an important participant in the global intelligent medical device innovation ecosystem.
